Shamanism Services

Shamanism encompasses the belief that shamans are intermediaries or messengers between the humans and the spirit worlds. Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by mending the soul. Alleviating traumas affecting the soul/spirit restores the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness. The shaman also enters supernatural realms or dimensions to obtain solutions to problems afflicting the community. Shamans may visit other worlds/dimensions to bring guidance to the misguided souls and to ameliorate illnesses of the human soul caused by the foreign elements. The shaman operates primarily within the spiritual world, which in turn affects the human world. The restoration of balance results in the elimination of the ailment. Shamanism is based on the premise that the visible world is pervaded by invisible forces or spirits which affect the lives of the living.

Shamanism is a range of traditional beliefs and practices that involve the ability to diagnose, cure, and sometimes cause suffering because of a special relationship with, or control over, spirits. This tradition has existed all over the world since prehistoric times. Shamanism is based on the premise that the visible world is pervaded by invisible forces or spirits that affect the lives of the living. In contrast to animism and anatamism, which any and usually all members of a society practice, shamanism requires specialized knowledge or abilities. Shamans are not, however, organized into full-time ritual or spiritual associations, as are priests in shamanic religions a medicine is some magical object or ceremony, such as medicine bag, that is used to control and direct the supernatural forces. The term medicine also refers to the magical potential of the object or ceremony which is used for these purposes. Among North American Indians, a medicine man or medicine woman is someone who professes to have skills at manipulating supernatural forces and uses these skills to cure sickness, drive away evil spirits, and regulate the weather.

“We need to remember that we are each of us indigenous to Earth, even though some of have fallen into a profound amnesia about that reality. Shamanism is a world wide practice and we each are the descended from the ancient peoples who practiced it in some form. The impulse behind shamanism is the universal and ultimately, we are the people (including non humans),  and healing and growth that comes from a path of Spirit is the birth of each of us. The shaman is an archetypal presence in our culture coding and our DNA. You might even say that when we are taking of the welfare of the planet and the unborn, it is our responsibility to find our way back to the path and to live it, not just talk about it. Understanding what the shaman is historically and what the emerging shamanic personality consists of  may be profoundly helpful to our understanding of what is required of us in a time when the very future of Earth is at stake.”

torusandsnake pic

August 24th 2015 the Snake Clan is an Offical Clan under the Free Cherokee

Bridgette Lyn Dolgoff  (She Walks Among Stars) is the current operational chief, the founder, Shaman of the Snake Clan.  Bridgette’s personal journey and her life time work in the field of shamanism. She is a Snake Medicine woman carrier bringing her gifts, insights, healing, teachings to the Snake Clan creating a foundation of Medicine for all living beings. With the guidance, help and support of Chief Charles Lightwalker of the Wolf Clan of the Pacific Northwest Bridgette has been able to bring this medicine she carries full circle into the Clan. As the Clan gains new members we can elect the specific people for the positions of leadership in the Clan. Currently Bridgette is forced to wear many hats as she guides this clan and brings one new members and the vision of ceremonial land for the Snake Clan in Montana comes full circle.

Mato Wopiye (Medicine Bear) and Bridgette have been working together since the summer of 2009. When the vision of the Snake Clan came into being Bridgette asked Bear if he would come on board to be the Clans Ceremonial Leader and Care Take of the Clans Lodge. Both Bridgette and Bear are still being asked by Spirit to hold space in Nevada, she in Reno and He in Las Vegas. There is funding in the works to buy Ceremonial land in Western Montana which will be the long term home of the Snake Clan and the Lodge that Bear has built for all people which he calls the Rainbow Peoples Medicine Lodge , Bear will be offering ceremony for those that come to the lodge, medicine wheel, vision quests and hands on healing work. Please visit his site for more information about him and his lodge work.

A clan is a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent lineage. Clan members may be organized around a founding member or ancestor. Kinship-based bonds may be symbolical, whereby the clan shares a “stipulated” common ancestor that is a symbol of the clan’s unity. When this “ancestor” is non-human, it is referred to as a totem, which is frequently an animal. Clans can be most easily described as tribes or sub-groups of tribes. The word clan is derived from ‘clann’ meaning ‘family’ in the Irish, Scottish, Gaelic languages. The word was taken into English about 1425 as a label for the tribal nature of Irish and Scottish Gaelic society. Clans in “family” indigenous societies are likely to be exogamous, meaning that their members cannot marry one another. Clans preceded more centralized forms of community organization and government; they are located in every country. Members may identify with a coat of arms or other symbol to show they are an independent clan.

Bridgette Lyn Dolgoff (She Walks Among Stars) has been a life time student & practitioner of Shamanism. She has many indigenous teachers including those in her family line. She is the founder and Shaman of the Snake Clan. She works in 64 dimensions and specializes in her own formats, structures, practices in Shamanism utilizing Fire & Snake Medicine and Transmutation. Her Shamanism work also involves energy grid adjustments, altars, medicine bundles, coaching, screening, event looping, generating power, recapitulation, prayer, spiritual commitment ceremonies, plugging & unplugging sessions. For over 25 years she has taught & facilitated “Energetic & Structural Medicine” for humans and our 4 legged friends. In 2006 Bridgette began consulting for Corporate & Political geared business with a focus on creating “ECO-nomical Cooperation’s”. She works with CEO’s and their companies to bring about a greener and spiritual balanced world. She is a sustainable, Biodynamic farmer currently building “urban farms” individual family food production and for at risk communities. Bridgette’s educates on our “spiritual” return back to Earth. She brings insights on how to work with the medicine of earth in systems of recovery and restoration for the health of our bodies, soil, water, air, plants life and animals.  She founded the Urban Farm Project in 2010 after finishing her education at Steiner College; Bridgette is still connecting the dots on how full biodynamic farms can support inner city urban farms in their area with preparations and study. Urban Farm Project consults, does project development, builds and teaches on “soil health” for conservation and understanding of health of all living beings through nutritionally dense food coming from “healthy soil” and Bridgette brings  Indigenous  ceremony, prayer and shamanic medicine to accompany the scientific end of food production. Her long term project is to develop a Biodynamic farm in Montana to rehabilitate veterans into sustainable farmers and create a Biodynamic chapter of North Western Montana. Bridgette offers workshops, webinars and classes, she speaks and lectures at events, consult and counseling, does hands on building and development, ceremonies and hands on healing in person or long distance ~ She also hand makes shamanic medicine products for bring about balance and healing

Carrying some Snake Medicine…

moc pic letter head

I want to say here in the beginning that anything I discuss is my experience, what I come to know by no means should be taken personally or judged as right or wrong. It is my life, a journey of becoming and sometimes I have help, a teacher and sometimes I have to rely on the Spirit world to show me the way.

I have learned in my spiritual travels about snake medicine carriers. Like Bear medicine carries, Snake medicine carriers are born into the medicine they will carry, the people always are powerful healers. Omens usually follow them from birth. In the days past there were snake medicine rituals, coming of age as a medicine man or woman. Basically a large pit was made, rattlers would be placed in it and after preparation and ceremonies the person becoming the medicine carrier of snake would dance until unconscious in the pit of rattlers. These people are bitten many times and by many snakes during rite of passage. Just like in the coming of age rituals and practices of ancient societies only 1 percent would die and it was said that it was the spirit of the person who was not ready to carry the medicine. Once the poison was taken in and transmuted the person had medicine that would transmute all poisons into the medicine needed for the cure. As you can imagine very powerful medicine people have and use snake medicine. I do not know believe that I fall into this category as I have not had the privilege of this ritual and to be honest I would have a heart attack and die before I even made it into the pit. I would need serious help to get over my snake issues. I have had my share of snake medicine rituals even though they do not seem as serious as the snake dance.

I think this should start with yet another story about my powerful great grandmother Billy. I know say this all the time but she is still to this day the most powerful being I have ever witnessed on earth in my life thus far. I have seen, studied with, lived with and witnessed many healers, shamans, medicine people, holy men and woman of all kinds. I have traveled and worked with as many as I can from all over the world, from many countries and yes there are many, many frauds. I have been extremely lucky as I seem to attract higher evolved beings to me in every day  life. Even I am astonished by where these beings/people show up.

Since Billy was my first teacher  I have based my experiences of others from the ones with her. I think everyone  has something to give, share, teach but few in this world have power, real  power and have done their work in order to have the power they have and the  ability to really practice “do no harm”. My Lakota Shaman/medicine woman  teacher in my early 20’s said to me many times that we must do everything we can in the physical world, doing it physically first and giving it everything  we have before we turn to magic to solve the problem we face. She said, “that we cannot use our power to get away from facing real physical life issues and must  use every attempt to resolve it as a normal person does”. This also keeps us from misusing power and using it against others who do not have the same level  of abilities which would harm them greatly mentally and emotionally. I later  found out that this is the path of the warrior. I also came to fully understand  stalking which is another conversation.

This story was told to me by my  grandmother the daughter of my great grandmother before she died, long after  Billy was dead. It happened to her when she was 8 years old. It was not really  a strange event to her she had ground up with such events and was not concerned  even as a kid. My grand mother went on in her adult life to be a real prophet.  All the women in my bloodline are very powerful in many ways.

My great grand parents moved to  the back woods of Colorado,  I have no idea exactly when it was a long time ago. They moved into an old  cabin. Shortly after arriving there my great grandfather started working for  the railroad leaving Billy alone there with 2 kids. For the first year Billy  would talk to the snakes living under that cabin in a den. She had noticed them  not long after moving in when the chickens, cats, rabbits were showing up dead.  Billy’s big concern was that of her kids. People in that time period food supplies contained eating and raising small animals. Though she was a powerful herbalist  and could heal anyone of anything she also practiced the same principles as my Lakota  teacher. Dealing with matters physically and not waiting until you have to use magic to solve it. Same exact lesson applies here.

Billy told those snakes every day to move on, move out from under the house and move far into the woods. As the months passed her message to them became more serious. She told the snakes that if they did not leave within a certain amount of time that this land was  now hers that she would remove them in a way that would not allow them choice. My  grand mother said there was no playing outside because of the rattle snakes and there domination of the yard and everything in it. However she said the snakes never attempted ever to come in the house.

Finally after about a year Billy felt that she had given the snakes enough time, she was ready to do what she must and it was time to use the spirit world to do it. My grand mother told me that Billy packed a big can of food and water as if they were going on a trip. Billy was distant that morning. I know now that she was moving into another state of awareness the one in which we magic lives. Billy took my grand mother and her older brother outside to a big tree far enough away from the house. Billy told them to stay there, no matter how long it took that when they were to move she would come and collect them. Billy returned to the house sharpened a knife, chanting and went under the cabin. Snake after snake was brought out and the head was cut off. You may feel pretty disturbed by this story but in my family these kinds of events were pretty normal. Billy had rendered the snakes powerless against her by working in the physical in asking them to leave. She had waited until spirit said okay it is time to manage the snakes. I was told that it went on for an entire day, not one snake bit Billy. At the end of the day Billy piled the dead snakes up and burned them letting any other snakes know that might have escaped her that that this will be their fate if they do not leave soon. No rattler was ever spotted near the cabin as long as they lived there.

When I was growing up the only dreams I had were always with snakes. I have to report here that I hate snakes. Not only hate them but I am terrified! Why did I get picked or chosen to be a snake medicine carrier? It is the biggest practical joke ever I am the biggest chicken ever! In my night dreams I deal with snake/s, in some dreams I have carried them around, the snakes also would bite me for no reason, snakes kill people and family members as well. When I snakes kill people in my dreams, I know in the near future they are going to die from something that cannot be healed. If I had any kind of dealings with snakes like in my night dreams when I am awake I would need meds big time.

My mother told me that when I was little a group of kids told me to hide in chest so I did. The kids through massive amount of plastic snakes on me and locked the chest. Though some of the trails and rituals of snakes medicine were not equal to a snake dance I feel that I did experience enough to forever change me and maybe not in good way.

The last part of this blog is a dream I had and how it manifested into my waking world. Though there are many stories I could tell about my relationship to snake this story is waiting to be told.

About 6 years ago I had a dream. In the dream a friend of mine was giving me 4 rattle snakes. I would never touch a snake at lease one alive or accept 4 as a gift in the waking world. My friend in the dream someone I do not know in the waking dream of every day life tells me that I need to find something to put the snakes in to take with me. I look around and I find a vibrant white large man’s tee shirt. We Put the snakes 3 large rattle snakes and one considerable smaller rattler onto the tee shirt wrap them up, we stand up and the bundle is handed to me. My friend leaves. I have the bundle held out with straight arms. I was clutching the bundle of snakes with both hands. I can feel the snakes moving around and even for a dream disturbs me in a way that I have to find a place to sleep, to lay down and I know this will take me to another level in the dream to deal with what is happening. My conscious mind is having trouble in the dream. I walk into another building. This building has a dark grey concrete floor, walls are vibrant white and there is nothing in this building. I find a room where there is a camping/hunting sleeping lounge chair set up it is high enough off the ground that if I let the snakes loose for a nap they cannot get to me. I check the doors of the room the gap under the door was not wide enough for the snakes to escape, this is great news. I am so tired in the dream I need to lay down. I release the snakes out of the tee shirt and lay down falling fast asleep. I woke up in the waking world freaking out that I had let those snakes go! How was I going to get them wrapped back up? Touch them? Get off the bed? Then it hit me it was a dream! I have never forgotten that dream it was the farthest “out of” character for me I could possibly get!

3 years after that dream I was living in the desert, down a long dirt road. One day when I was out walking I came across a dead, perfectly squished and flattened snake. Upon closer inspection it was also perfectly dried, though it was pretty small I could tell that it was in fact a baby rattler. I spent several minutes inspecting it and then the corporate decision to take it home was made. I was going to take it home and put it next to my owl wing on my alter. There was still part of me uncertain about the whole snake matter even dead. I walk around the area looking for something I could put the snake in to carry it back to the house. I find 3 feet by 3 feet pretty beat up vibrant white thick piece of plastic. Iput the flat, crisp snake in the plastic wrap it up and with arms out stretched proceed to walk down the dirt road to the house. It was about them I literally almost vomited! The dream was happening exactly. I got the snake home, I put it on my alter and lay down on the bed next to it passed out from the stress of all the realizations, just like in the dream.

Though I have many dreams about snakes, I also have many dreams that are omens in some way happening to me in real life. This dream has always stood out and has been was one of the most powerful ones I have ever had, so far. This dream caused a shift in me. It may have finally been the moment that I accepted the path of the healer. I have to tell you I have been in the healing field for 25 years at the time. I just had not accepted snake, the poison and had not been the vessel from transmutation until then. It was also the moment that I knew that spirit was in charge totally and all things that happened in the waking world were a cause from the night dream world where spirit rules. I firmly believe that God or Great Spirit talks to us at night in the dream world; it is where life and death, waking and sleeping meet.  It is where we are open have less complicated beliefs that stand between spirit and ourselves.

I still have the snake in my box of medicine. This box travels with me to do my work. I use my work in shamanism with snake as my transmutor for land, water, soil, homes, offices, buildings, people, animals, insects, winged beings, companies, corporations literally anything and everything needs transmutation. At some point, some kind of medicine is needed to change the poison or energy into the medicine and become the cure for the change desired.

What is a Fire Ceremony

A fire ceremony is a Native American practice that is usually performed every full moon. You do not have to wait for a full moon in order to do a fire ceremony. Fire Ceremonies are wonderful during a New Moon, when you want to introduce newness into your Life. This Native American ritual is easy, simple and an awe-inspiring event.

I often do a fire ceremony by myself during the New Moon (probably every other month) and I’ve done them many times with friends in the backyard where we dug a large pit in the ground in order to build a safe fire. I’ve also used a large clay pot, a campfire, a bonfire or an old barbecue grill.

Each of us bring something to burn that we would like to rid from our past (in Full Moon) or a prayer request of something new (in New Moon), that will burn, turn to smoke and release into the ethers. This allows the past energy to move along to its highest spiritual progression path and the new prayer request to move along to its highest spiritual progression path. We may bring pictures, drawings, or intentions written on a piece of paper for the past or the newness. For the past, after we have burned and released it, then we have something prepared that is written down on a clean sheet of paper. This would be something new that we would like to call forth from God. For the newness, the prayer request is then burned and released into the ethers thereby replacing the past.

We form a circle around the fire and one by one we call in support from Divine Sources that give us peace. E.g. – God, Jesus, Creator, the Blessed Virgin Mother, Spirit, the Universe, the Archangels, the Saints that we may feel closest to, Guardian Angels, etc. We start with a prayer, and end with a prayer that is coupled with thanksgiving that our prayers and intentions have already been answered.

Keep in mind, no one is obligated to speak during a Fire Ceremony. Anyone can participate without stating what they are releasing or calling forth.

After we have called in our Divine Source we place into the fire our pictures, drawings and intended release of the past. Once these things have burned to smoke and ash, we then place into the fire what we have written on clean sheet of paper. This would be what we desire to replace those old energies with and call in new.

The things we address from our past or call into our future can be shared with the group or kept to ourselves as we go through the Fire Ceremony.

  • A fire pit or fire place where you can safely burn a fire. A barbecue pit or fireproof pot works well too. If you live in an apartment, it is best to find a place outdoors where you can safely burn a fire.
  • A bucket filled with water or a water hose to put the fire out after the ceremony.
  • Items such as a drawing, picture or written intentions that you would like to release from your past.
  • Anything else that you feel would serve you that need to be released.

In strict Native American custom – the burning of sage, sweetgrass or tobacco is burned along with the past, which is given as an offering. When the smoke rises up into the ethers and is carried away to God there should be a quiet or meditative break in order to embrace a new awareness of transformation in your life. It is also symbolic that you can offer up a bit of food you wanted and only ate half of so that you could offer the other half in thanks.

Do not minimize the value of imagery in Native American ceremony. The Spirit of God is real. This is a way of demonstrating our gratefulness and thanksgiving to God. When we pray to our Source and Supply who is God; He can, will and does affect our lives. So honoring Him and showing Him respect is part of this ceremony.

After your fire gets going, each person may contribute to the prayer and then the items are offered to the fire. Tell God and all the Divine Spirits that you have called forth that you offer these things in thanksgiving. Meditate and feel the presence of God all around you. Singing praise, playing peaceful music either through tapes or instruments may also be used.

Snake Medicine

(Inland Taipan)
Transmutation; Life Force

The Key words for Snake are: Transmutation, Life Force, New You, Wisdom, Growth & Awakening. The snake depicted on our card is the Inland Taipan but this card represents all snakes.

The snake is card number 40 which gives him the numerology vibration of 4. “The Number Four is the orchestrator, the interpreter of all forms, ideas, planning’s, renditions, insights, dream-works. It is a foundational energy upon which other energies are built to provide sustenance for existence. It works within the realms of growth, order, systems, and formulas seeking to provide a matrix for lasting stability. Time and Space are the working tools of this number.

Four is The Builder… Colours: Green, Blue, Indigo, Emerald, Coffee, Silver & Maroon. The Number Four finds the Materials and builds, shapes and moulds. Four is seen as representing the rational; relativity and justice. The symbol of measurement and foundation. Four is seen as the first solid number. It is spatial in scheme or order in manifestation. It is static as opposed to the circular and the dynamic. It is wholeness; totality; completion; solid. The are four cardinal points; four seasons; four winds; four directions (as in North, South, East, West); four elements (Fire, Water, Air, Earth) in the western culture. There are four sides to a square; four arms to a cross. There are four rivers to Paradise that formed a cross (the Garden of Eden was said to be within the four rivers). Within Paradise were four infernal regions, seas, and sacred mountains. There are four watches of the night and day, quarters of the moon. There are four quarters to the earth. As in other cultures, ceremonies and ritual acts are repeated in fours. The Native American cultures have used the number 4 most frequently as in the four cardinal directions. The four winds are depicted by the symbol of the cross and by the symbol of the swastika – a Native American symbol.

The rune symbol depicted on our snake card is the rune Berkana – this is the rune of personal growth and associated with fertility. This symbol is regarded as sacred.

Our snake is depicted slithering down a yellow (mustard) rectangle to represent the shedding of the old ways to allow for the new growth. This is an extremely earthy card within the deck and reminds you to stay well grounded and earthed. The crystal of snake is chrysoprase and advises you to step into your acceptance of the all – this is the place of Great Wisdom. Snake in the Chinese culture is the symbol of wisdom and beauty.

The Medicine

The medicine of Snake is Transmutation and Life-force. Inland Taipan is one of Australia’s most deadly and aggressive snakes. He has a heightened sense of smell and sight. Taipan is active almost all day and part of the night. Snake medicine is powerful medicine because Transmutation is essential to all life. The Snake sheds his old skin in the transmutation process bringing forth his new self. Allowing all that is past to be released as he has out grown it, released it and now welcomes all that is positive and new to be engaged. Snake relies on his internal life-force to determine when the time it right to call on his transmutation powers. Snake medicine is the LIFEFORCE within, the rising serpent to our own awakening.

The Shadow Side
You refuse to let go of the past and hold back your new growth.

The Crystal – Chrysoprase
Chrysoprase brings in acceptance of self and allows you to understand your patterns of growth.

The Message
If snake has slithered past you, you are being asked by ‘Spirit’ to shed your old ways and transmute into the NEW YOU. The life-force is within you, allow it to show you the way to let go and move on to your new beginnings. A new cycle is about to begin and your new growth is here at hand. Embrace the wisdom snake has brought your way. It may be time to move house , change jobs or change your hair style.

Affirmation : I am life and I renew daily

Snake Power Animal Symbol Of Death Rebirth

As snake sheds its skin so we can shed our illusions and limitations. Then we are able to use our vitality and desires to achieve wholeness.

Snakes deserve respect. Throughout history the snakes have had many legends surrounding them, linking them to creation, fertility and transformation. Nowhere are the differences between cultures and religions more sharply emphasized than in their attitudes towards Snake, differences which will also uncover different vistas on elementary aspects of being alive.

On one level, the differences relate to sexuality. We see the snake enticing Eve in the Garden of Eden, being symbolized as Vinata the Indian goddess, or shown as the legs of Cernunnos the Celtic fertility god. In Hinduism, kundalini, or serpent fire, is coiled at the base of the spine. As we mature emotionally and spiritually, the energy rises, stimulating the chakras, which are emotional, mental, and spiritual energy centres. This is also shown in the worldwide symbol of the spiral. This flow of energy is indispensable for good health, and the Greeks, in their own understanding of this, used the snake as a symbol of healing and wisdom.

In Israel the snake was regarded as the earth mother and played a role in fertility. In Egypt the cobra was known for its ability to expand the upper neck into a disc shape by spreading its ribs, symbolizing immortality. Snake was also considered to represent inner vision. Christian lore sees the snake rising from the chalice of St. John, wound around a cross sometimes portrayed with a woman’s head to depict lust and temptation.

For time immemorial people have associated Snake with both male and female aspects of sexuality. In religions where sexuality, in both its physical and spiritual aspects is celebrated, Snake has been held with honour. More repressive belief systems have linked snake to evil.

The Celts sometimes called the Druids, leaders and teachers in poetry, music, the law, spiritual wisdom, and healing, adders. Sadly, the more stiff practitioners of the Judeo-Christianism seemed to fear wisdom. When St. Patrick bragged that he had driven all of the snakes out of Ireland, he meant the Druids. The apple the snake gave Eve was from the Tree of Knowledge.

This is just a start to the contradictory attitudes towards Snake. The snake also represents aliveness, as expressed in sensuality – in this case meaning feeling and responding to stimuli, and more generally, to the flow of energy which creates us and makes us alive.

When snakes shed their skin, they metamorphose into a new being. This is very significant to those with snake as power animal, symbolising our ability to shed beliefs and habits which we have outgrown, moving into higher spiritual energy. The ability to do this is wisdom.

The shedding of the skin is also associated with astral travel and out of body experiences. The eyes of a snake are always open and are protected by immobile transparent scales. Before shedding their skin the snakes markings become obscure and the eyes appear opaque or blue, giving them a trance like appearance as if they are looking right through you. Learning how to see into the hearts of others is part of what we are taught by snake.

On the deepest level Snake’s skin shedding symbolizes death and rebirth, an idea which is depicted by the image of a snake swallowing its own tail, a symbol of eternity. The Snakes medicine is not to be treated lightly. Its meaning touches on the deepest mysteries in life. If you are ready to shed your own skin, Snake is ready and waiting to guide you through the spiral path of transformation. On a material level snake is vitality, on an emotional level ambition and dreams, on a mental level intellect and power, and on the highest level, the spiritual level wisdom, understanding and wholeness.

Snakes / serpent’s power includes – Being the messenger of the Rainbow Serpent, wisdom, healing, initiation, elusiveness, manipulation of lightning, transmutation, exploration of the mysteries of life, primitive or elemental energy, protection from religious persecution, goddess energy, psychic energy, creative power, immortality and the connection to, or forming, the magic cord by which the shaman travels to the soul world. Snake medicine is the energy of wholeness, cosmic consciousness, and the ability to experience anything willingly and without resistance. It is the knowledge that all things are equal in creation, that all is one.

Snake is a powerful animal guide, a symbol of transformation and healing. The snake is wisdom expressed through healing. This is a protector and guardian. If snake has come into your life, your creative forces are awakening. Your intuition will strengthen and be more accurate.

When on the move snakes make no noise whatsoever. They are invisible when resting and are unable to produce their own body heat, often to be seen lying in the sun. The suns warmth together with their behavior regulates their body temperature. They don’t rely on the energy of food to generate body heat and can survive on scanty diets for long periods of time.
